Easy Screed Pro hire prices depend on how long you need the drive unit, which beam length you choose, and delivery distance. Daily rates suit single pours, weekend hire covers a Friday-to-Monday domestic project, and weekly rates work out cheaper per day for phased commercial pours. Beams are priced separately by length. Yes. The drive unit is the powered head that provides vibration – it’s useless without a beam to clamp onto. Easyscreed beams come in 1.9m, 3m, 5m, and 6m lengths. Match the beam to your pour width. If you already own a compatible beam, you can hire the drive unit alone; otherwise, hire both together.

Match the beam to your concrete pour width. For paths and narrow bays under 2m, use the 1.9m beam. For most domestic pours (garage floors, patios) up to 3m wide, the 3m beam is standard. For commercial floor bays 3-5m wide, use the 5m beam. For the widest commercial and industrial pours, the 6m beam covers up to about 6m of pour width in one pass.

Yes. The Easyscreed beam has a profile designed for ‘free-screeding’ – the beam rides on the wet concrete itself, no side forms needed. This is faster than traditional formwork screeding but takes practice to get consistent levels. For your first job with the equipment, using formwork gives you the most reliable finish. For repeat commercial work, free-screeding is the standard trade method.

The Easy Screed Pro handles concrete slabs up to approximately 75mm thick in a single pass. For thicker pours, either compact in layers as you pour, or step up to the heavier Porto Screed which handles up to 150mm. Ask the team if you’re not sure which is right for your job.

Standard unleaded petrol. The Honda engine is 4-stroke, so no mixing with 2-stroke oil is required. The engine has a separate oil sump that gets checked as part of our hire prep. Confirm fuel arrangements when you book – for short hires the drive unit arrives fuelled, for longer hires you’ll need to top up.

The Easy Screed Pro is one of the easier concrete tools to learn. Start with the vibration on low, walk the beam slowly across the concrete at a steady pace, and adjust the centrifugal force up or down until you get the finish you want. Most people are comfortable with it after one bay. Watch a few YouTube videos of the technique before your pour if you’ve never done concrete screeding.

Standard concreting PPE: safety helmet, eye protection (concrete splash), dust or spray mask (mixing and pouring can throw dust and splash), ear defenders (the drive unit runs around 102 dB), heavy-duty gloves for handling, and safety boots. Waterproof boots or wellies help because you’ll be walking through wet concrete. Long trousers rather than shorts.

Yes. Hirelink offers daily hire on the Easy Screed Pro drive unit for one-off pours like a domestic garage floor, a garden patio, or a single commercial floor bay. For anything longer, weekend or weekly hire is usually better value.

Return the drive unit and beam cleaned of concrete. Concrete sets hard and permanently, so clean the equipment while the concrete is still wet – a jet wash or scrub with water works for both the drive unit body and the beam. Return the equipment cleaned. Excessive concrete residue may result in a cleaning charge.
